57741 Type 57

Chassis 57741 left Molsheim in April 1939 as a Gangloff-bodied Stelvio cabriolet. By the 1960s it was in the United States: the Summer 1966 issue of Pur Sang (Vol. 7, No. 2) records the Gangloff-bodied 57741 with its own motor, running at purchase after attention from noted Bugatti specialist Overton 'Bunny' Phillips and then undergoing a slow restoration.
