History

Chassis 57106 was ordered in spring 1934 by Fernand Leyda, Bugatti's Toulouse concessionaire, for Jean Baylet, the young mayor of Valence d'Agen, who paid 60,800 francs on 29 May 1934. On 12 June 1934 a factory driver took the rolling chassis to Gangloff in Colmar for its pre-series coach body, and the car was registered 1763 YS 1 in Tarn-et-Garonne. It passed on 11 April 1935 to Raymond Grillon (Gironde, 2823 GA 7), returned to Leon Pierron's Bordeaux garage in June 1939, and was sold to Paul-Louis Bricq in December 1945 (2930 DB 4).
