Why proposing a change matters

Bugatti Insights is a community-built heritage archive. Factory records were incomplete or lost long ago, so much of what we know about individual chassis comes from owners, marque historians, auction houses and enthusiasts sharing what they hold. Every proposal you submit helps close a gap in the record for future researchers.

A researcher checks the source before anything changes.

Accepted proposals are applied to the public record.
What makes a good source
  • A photo of a document, letter or logbook page
  • A book or magazine reference, with title and page number
  • An auction catalogue entry or lot listing
  • A forum post or archive thread from a known marque expert

Proposals are not published immediately. Each one is reviewed by a researcher first, and only your credited name (if you choose to give one) is ever shown publicly — your email address is never published.
